Sensex down 58pts; tech stocks perk up

The Sensex is now down 58 points at 10,235.

Technology stocks continue to witness buying. Infosys and Satyam have advanced 2% each to Rs 1,637 and Rs 697, respectively. Wipro has gained 1.5% at Rs 484.

ONGC and Bharti Airtel are up over 1% each at Rs 1,042 and Rs 358, respectively.

Hindalco has slipped over 3% to Rs 162. Larsen & Toubro and Reliance have dropped over 2% each to Rs 2,075 and Rs 1,008, respectively.

Tata Steel has shed 2% to Rs 484. ACC and Gujarat Ambuja are down 1.5% each at Rs 808 and Rs 102, respectively.

Out of 2,318 stocks traded so far, 1,659 have declined, 581 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
