Sensex down 59pts; HDFC Bank, Cipla slip 2%

The Sensex is now down 59 points at 10,685.

Reliance Communications has shed 3% to Rs 255. Hindalco has dropped 2.7% to Rs 157.

HDFC Bank and Cipla have slipped over 2% each to Rs 778 and Rs 231, respectively.

Tata Motors has declined 1.6% to Rs 728. Gujarat Ambuja and Hero Honda are down 1.5% each at Rs 103 and Rs 695, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced 1.3% to Rs 2,239.

Out of 2,228 stocks traded so far, 1,326 have declined, 824 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
