Sensex down 60pts; Ambuja Cements soars 4%

The Sensex is now down 60 points at 17,500.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 3.5% to Rs 934, and Mahindra & Mahindra has slumped 2.8% to Rs 708.

Tata Motors and Maruti have shed 2% each to Rs 765 and Rs 1,053.

HDFC and Satyam have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 2,358 and Rs 453, respectively.

Wipro, Grasim, TCS and BHEL are down over 1% each at Rs 495, Rs 3,460, Rs 1,095 and Rs 2,030, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has soared 4.5% to Rs 146.

ICICI Bank and SBI have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,047 and Rs 1,700, respectively.

Hindalco and ACC have gained 1.3% each at Rs 177 and Rs 1,004, respectively.
