Sensex down 60pts; BHEL, SBI slip 3%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 60 points at 17,558.

The NSE Nifty is down 10 points at 5,144.

HDFC has plunged 4% to Rs 2,640. BHEL and SBI have tumbled over 3% each to Rs 2,055 and Rs 2,136, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 1.7% at Rs 3,403. ONGC and ICICI Bank have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 988 and Rs 1,150, respectively.

Reliance Communications and DLF are down over 1% each at Rs 578 and Rs 805, respectively.

Satyam has zoomed 7% to Rs 452. TCS and Hindalco have soared 4.5% each to Rs 924 and Rs 184, respectively.

Infosys and Wipro have surged over 3% each to Rs 1,619 and Rs 424, respectively.

Tata Steel has rallied 2.2% to Rs 790, and Grasim has moved up 1.6% to Rs 2,882.

Cipla, Bajaj Auto and Hindustan Unilever are up around 1% each at Rs 187, Rs 2,363 and Rs 216, respectively.

Grasim, Mahindra & Mahindra and Cipla are up nearly 1.5% each to Rs 2,877, Rs 644 and Rs 188, respectively.
