Sensex down 60pts; Ranbaxy, Bajaj Auto shine

The Sensex is now down 60 points at 19,641.

HDFC Bank has plunged 2.5% to Rs 1,607. DLF has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 1,066.

BHEL has dropped 1.6% to Rs 2,310. Reliance, Maruti and Larsen & Toubro have declined 1.3% each to Rs 2,958, Rs 857 and Rs 4,028, respectively.

TCS, HDFC and Wipro are down around 1% each at Rs 913, Rs 2,820 and Rs 456, respectively.

Bajaj Auto and Ranbaxy have surged 3.4% each to Rs 2,525 and Rs 381, respectively.

Reliance Energy has rallied 2.5% to Rs 2,267. ACC has advanced over 2% to Rs 879.

Ambuja Cements, Bharti Airtel and Grasim are up over 1% each at Rs 132, Rs 882 and Rs 3,340, respectively.

Out of 2,788 stocks traded so far, 1,698 have declined, 1,043 have advanced and 47 are unchanged.
