Sensex down 60pts; RIL group stocks slip

The Sensex is now down 60 points at 11,417.

Hindalco has shed 2.5% to Rs 160. Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have dropped 2% each to Rs 509 and Rs 454, respectively.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Communications, Reliance and Bharti Airtel are down 1.5% each at Rs 836, Rs 290, Rs 1,050 and Rs 409, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Grasim have slipped 1% each.

Maruti and Cipla are up over 1.5% each to Rs 833 and Rs 248, respectively.

HLL and TCS are down 1% each at Rs 238 and Rs 968, respectively.

Out of 2,496 stocks traded so far, 1,297 have declined, 1,117 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
