Sensex down 63pts; breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is now down 63 points at 10,518.

BHEL has slumped 5.5% to Rs 1,242, and Maruti has plunged 4.6% to Rs 647.

Grasim has shed 4.4% at Rs 1,312. Reliance Communications has dropped 4% to Rs 249.

Reliance Infrastructure, Sterlite, NTPC and ICICI Bank have slipped over 3.5% each to Rs 536, Rs 287, Rs 160 and Rs 400, respectively.

SBI and Jaiprakash Associates have declined 3% each to Rs 1,497 and Rs 73, respectively.

DLF is down over 2% at Rs 318. Hindustan Unilever and Mahindra & Mahindra are down 1.7% each at Rs 243 and Rs 444, respectively.

 

Wipro and Satyam have rallied over 2% each to Rs 284 and Rs 279, respectively.

ACC has gained 1.8% at Rs 532. ONGC and TCS are up over 1% each at Rs 813 and Rs 500, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,262 stocks traded so far, 1,130 have declined, 1,072 have advanced and 60 are unchanged.
