Sensex down 63pts; Satyam sheds 4%

The Sensex is now down 63 points at 15,732.

Ambuja Cements has slumped 5% to Rs 127. ACC has plunged 4% to Rs 1,073, and Grasim has shed 2.2% at Rs 2,957.

Satyam has dropped 4% to Rs 497. Bajaj Auto has slipped 3% to Rs 2,373.

Larsen & Toubro, BHEL and HDFC Bank has declined over 2% each to Rs 2,604, Rs 1,792 and Rs 1,223, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has shed 1.8% at Rs 782. Tata Motors, HDFC and Cipla are down around 1.5% each.

ITC has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 164. NTPC has soared 2.5% to Rs 168.

Reliance Energy has moved up 1.7% to Rs 789, and Hindustan Unilever has gained 1.3% at Rs 202. ONGC is up 1% at Rs 925.

Out of 2,300 stocks traded so far, 1,473 have declined, 765 have advanced and 62 are unchanged.
