Sensex down 64pts; Ranbaxy, HLL drop

The Sensex is now down 64 points at 12,390.

HDFC has slipped 3.2% to Rs 1,485. Ranbaxy and HLL have dropped over 2% each to Rs 430 and Rs 251, respectively.

Cipla and Larsen & Toubro have shed around 1.5% each to Rs 258 and Rs 1,254, respectively.

Infosys and Wipro are down 1.3% each to Rs 1,824 and Rs 519, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has gained 1.5% at Rs 3,043. Reliance Communications is up 1% at Rs 350.

Tata Motors, Reliance Energy and Hindalco are the other notable gainers.

Out of 2,412 stocks traded so far, 1,377 have advanced, 969 have declined and 66 are unchanged.
