Sensex down 650pts; ICICI Bank drops 7%

The Sensex is now down 650 points at 15,110.

The NSE Nifty is down 180 points at 4,566.

HDFC has slumped 8.8% to Rs 2,282. Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has plunged over 7% to Rs 219.

ICICI Bank has tumbled nearly 7% to Rs 818, and HDFC Bank has shed 6.5% at Rs 1,230.

DLF and Hindalco have dropped around 6% each to Rs 615 and Rs 171, respectively.

Tata Steel, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel have slipped around 5.5% each to Rs 675, Rs 490 and Rs 713, respectively.

Ranbaxy has declined nearly 5% to Rs 442. Reliance Energy and Tata Motors are down around 4.5% each at Rs 1,237 and Rs 608, respectively.
