The Sensex is now down 65 points at 15,147.
The NSE Nifty is down 17 points at 4,535.
ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have shed 2.7% each at Rs 719 and Rs 1,230, respectively.
Maruti has slipped 1.8% to Rs 666. DLF has dropped 1.5% to Rs 559.
Grasim, HDFC and ONGC have declined over 1% each to Rs 2,046, Rs 2,437 and Rs 1,075, respectively.
Bharti Airtel, Jaiprakash Associates and Hindalco are also down 1% each at Rs 814, Rs 187 and Rs 141, respectively.
Sterlite has surged 2.5% to Rs 612. Tata Steel and Infosys have advanced over 1% each to Rs 616 and Rs 1,622, respectively.
