Sensex down 65pts; Tata Steel drops 2%

The Sensex is now down 65 points at 14,072.

Infosys has shed 2% to Rs 2,016, and Satyam has slipped 1.7% to Rs 467.

Tata Steel has tumbled nearly 2% to Rs 568. NTPC and Bharti Airtel are down around 1% each at Rs 157 and Rs 866, respectively.

Ranbaxy has soared 3.5% to Rs 362. HDFC and Tata Motors have rallied nearly 2% each to Rs 1,742 and Rs 757, respectively.

Hero Honda and HDFC Bank have advanced around 1.7% each to Rs 672 and Rs 1,030, respectively.

ITC and ACC are up 1% each at Rs 158 and Rs 826, respectively.

Out of 2,389 stocks traded so far, 1,283 have advanced, 1,009 have declined and 97 are unchanged.
