Sensex down 67pts; ITC, SBI down 2%

The Sensex is now down 67 points at 17,691.

The NSE Nifty is down 16 points at 5,152.

Hindalco has slumped over 6% to Rs 165. Grasim has shed 3.3% at Rs 2,890.

ITC, HDFC and SBI have plunged over 2% each to Rs 195, Rs 2,830 and Rs 2,172, respectively.

DLF has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 846. Tata Steel and ACC have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 712 and Rs 785, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Satyam have declined 1% each to Rs 351 and Rs 390, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, BHEL and Maruti are down 1% each at Rs 3,669, Rs 2,068 and Rs 835, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 2.5% to Rs 708. ONGC has gained 1.8% at Rs 986.

Infosys and Hindustan Unilever have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,516 and Rs 200, respectively.

Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel and Reliance are up 1.3% each at Rs 705, Rs 863 and Rs 2,500, respectively.
