Sensex down 68pts; tech stocks move up

The Sensex is now down 68 points at 14,188.

HLL, Hero Honda and SBI have slipped over 2% each to Rs 191, Rs 698 and Rs 1,359, respectively.

ITC has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 155, and Bajaj Auto has shed 1.7% to Rs 2,180.

Tata Motors and Larsen & Toubro have declined 1.5% each to Rs 677 and Rs 1,893, respectively.

ONGC, Tata Steel and HDFC are the other major losers.

Satyam has moved up 1.7% to Rs 474, and Wipro has gained 1.5% at Rs 540. Infosys is up 1% at Rs 1,958.

Out of 2,457 stocks traded so far, 1,448 have declined, 926 have advanced and 83 are unchanged.
