Sensex down 70pts; auto stocks weak

The Sensex is now down 70 points at 18,022.

The NSE Nifty is down 28 points at 5,252.

Bajaj Auto has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 2,306. Mahindra & Mahindra and Maruti have slipped around 2% each to Rs 687 and Rs 841, respectively. Tata Motros is down 1% at Rs 709.

ONGC has shed 2.4% at Rs 994. ITC has dropped 1.8% to Rs 198.

Reliance Communications and Hindustan Unilever have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 633 and Rs 204, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Reliance and Hindalco are down 1% each at Rs 3,724, Rs 2,549 and Rs 178, respectively.

Tata Steel has gained 2.3% at Rs 733. BHEL and Bharti Airtel are up around 1% each at Rs 2,072 and Rs 858, respectively.
