Sensex down 72pts; Ranbaxy, Dr.Reddy's slip

The Sensex is now down 72 points at 9885.

ONGC has dropped 3.5% to Rs 1,005. NTPC has slipped over 3% to Rs 103.

Ranbaxy and Dr.Reddy's have shed 2.5% each to Rs 379 and Rs 1,242, respectively.

SBI and ICICI Bank have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 826 and Rs 533, respectively.

Larsen & Tourbo is up over 1% at Rs 2,155.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,134 stocks traded so far, 1,835 have declined, 263 have advanced and the are unchanged.
