The Sensex is now down 72 points at 9,644. NSE Nifty is now down 26 points
at 2,954.
Sterlite has plunged 2.7% to Rs 265, and HDFC has slipped 2.5% to Rs 1,529.
Reliance has declined 2.3% to Rs 1,249.
ICICI Bank has dropped 2.1% to Rs 458. DLF and Reliance Infrastructure have
lost 1.9% each to Rs 285 and Rs 585, respectively.
Wipro and Infosys are down 1.8% each at Rs 235 and Rs 1,125, respectively.
TCS and HDFC Bank have slipped 1.6% each to Rs 482 and Rs 1,018,
repsectively.
Jaiprakash Associates, Bharti Airtel and ONGC are the other major losers.
Satyam has soared 7.5% to Rs 160. Ranbaxy has gained 2.8% to Rs 242.
Tata Motors is up 2.3% to Rs 156. Hindalco has advanced 1.7% to Rs 51.
Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Power are up 1% each at Rs 270 and Rs 739,
respectively.
