Sensex down 73pts; Infosys slips 2%

The Sensex is now down 73 points at 12,381.

HDFC has shed 3.3% to Rs 1,485. HLL has plunged 2.8% to Rs 249.

Ranbaxy and Cipla have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 429 and Rs 256, respectively.

Infosys has declined 1.7% to Rs 1,816, and Larsen & Toubro has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,254.

Wipro, BHEL and Maruti are down 1.3% each to Rs 518, Rs 2,362 and Rs 969, respectively. ONGC is down 1% at Rs 1,158.

NTPC has gained 1.7% at Rs 132. Bajaj Auto has advanced over 1% to Rs 3,035, and Tata Motors is up 1% at Rs 871.

Out of 2,510 stocks traded so far, 1,414 have advanced, 1,021 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
