Sensex down 73pts; market breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 73 points at 10,671.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 255 and Rs 157, respectively.

Cipla and HDFC Bank have slipped over 2% each to Rs 231 and Rs 778, respectively. SBI has shed 1.8% to Rs 796.

Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, Maruti and Gujarat Ambuja are down over 1.5% each to Rs 727, Rs 546, Rs 490, Rs 775 and Rs 103, respectively.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel have advanced 1% each to Rs 2,064 and Rs 387, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,096 stocks traded so far, 1,225 have declined, 804 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
