Sensex down 73pts; Wipro, Satyam drop

The Sensex is now down 73 points at 11,860.

Cipla has dropped over 2.5% to Rs 254.

Wipro, Bajaj Auto and Satyam have slipped over 2% each to Rs 511, Rs 2,773 and Rs 796, respectively.

HDFC Bank has declined nearly 2% to Rs 847. Infosys and ITC have shed 1.5% each to Rs 1,805 and Rs 186, respectively.

HDFC and Maruti have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,342 and Rs 912, respectively.

Tata Motors is up 1% at Rs 895.

Out of 2,591 stocks traded so far, 1,386 have declined, 1,130 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
