Sensex down 74pts; HDFC Bank drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 74 points at 13,355.

HDFC Bank has plunged 4.7% to Rs 1,073. ACC has dropped 4% to Rs 1,053, and ITC has shed 3.5% to Rs 176.

Tata Steel and Hindalco have slipped 2.7% each to Rs 463 and Rs 170, respectively.

NTPC, Larsen & Toubro and Ranbaxy are down around 2.5% each to Rs 136, Rs 1,322 and Rs 381, respectively.

HDFC has rallied 3.6% to Rs 1,666. Hero Honda has surged over 3% to Rs 716.

Infosys has advanced 2.8% to Rs 2,247. TCS has moved up 2% to Rs 1,113, and Satyam has spurted 1% to Rs 438.

Reliance Communications and HLL are up 1% each at Rs 404 and Rs 242, respectively.

Out of 2,475 stocks traded, 1,671 have declined, 751 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
