The Sensex has recovered smartly from the day's low of 14,714, and is now down 75 points at 14,826.
Sterlite has slumped 7.7% to Rs 532. ICICI Bank has plunged 2% to Rs 699.
Tata Steel has dropped 1.7% to Rs 555. HDFC Bank and Maruti have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 1,276 and Rs 699, respectively.
Reliance and Bharti Airtel are down over 1% each at Rs 2,117 and Rs 827, respectively.
ACC, DLF and Ranbaxy has advanced around 1.5% each to Rs 606, Rs 511 and Rs 463, respectivel.
Wipro is up over 1% at Rs 439.
