Sensex down 75pts; breadth flat

The Sensex is now down 75 points at 14,844.

Wipro, HDFC and Infosys have slipped 1.6% each to Rs 460, Rs 1,950 and Rs 1,853, respectively.

ICICI Bank, NTPC and Bharti Airtel have shed 1.3% each to Rs 851, Rs 165 and Rs 864, respectively.

ACC, Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each at Rs 1,015, Rs 363 and Rs 1,140, respectively.

Tata Steel has soared 5.7% to Rs 640. Hindalco has gained 1.3% at Rs 155.

The market breadth is almost flat - out of 2,313 stocks traded so far, 1,127 have advanced, 1,118 have declined and 68 are unchanged.
