Sensex down 75pts; DLF, HDFC Bank drop 3%

The Sensex is now down 75 points at 19,626.

HDFC Bank and DLF have dropped 2.7% each to Rs 1,605 and Rs 1,057, respectively.

NTPC and Reliance have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 251 and Rs 2,943, respectively. BHEL has shed 1.6% at Rs 2,310.

Maruti has declined 1.4% to Rs 855. Wipro, Larsen & Toubro and TCS are down over 1% each at Rs 455, Rs 4,033 and Rs 913, respectively.

Ranbaxy has zoomed 9% to Rs 401. Bajaj Auto has surged over 3% to Rs 2,518.

Reliance Energy has gained 2.4% at Rs 2,266, and Grasim has added 1.4% to Rs 3,354.

Bharti Airtel, ACC and Ambuja Cements are up over 1% each at Rs 883, Rs 871 and Rs 132, respectively.

Out of 2,819 stocks traded so far, 1,827 have declined, 954 have advanced and 38 are unchanged.
