Sensex down 75pts; Dr.Reddy's zooms 9%

The Sensex is now down 75 points at 9735.

Dr.Reddy's has zoomed 9% to Rs 1,326.

Infosys, Maruti and HDFC Bank have rallied 2% each to Rs 2,842, Rs 780 and Rs 727, respectively.

SBI, Reliance Energy and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 781, Rs 438 and Rs 368, respectively.

HDFC has dropped 3.7% to Rs 1,163. RCoVL, Tata Steel and Grasim have plunged over 3% each to Rs 214, Rs 442 and Rs 1,720, respectively.

ICICI Bank and HLL are down 2% each at Rs 489 and Rs 204, respectively.

The market breadth is improving steadily - out of 2,280 stocks traded so far, 1,323 have declined, 906 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
