Sensex down 75pts; NTPC, Bharti down 2%

The Sensex is now down 75 points at 15,529.

TCS has shed 2.3% to Rs 999. NTPC and Bharti Airtel have dropped 2% each to Rs 182 and Rs 815, respectively.

Satyam has slipped 1.8% to Rs 423. Reliance Communications, HDFC and Infosys have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 534, Rs 2,183 and Rs 1,802, respectively.

Ranbaxy and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 410 and Rs 898, respectively.

Reliance Energy has soared 3.5% to Rs 914. ACC and Maruti have advanced around 1% each to Rs 1,118 and Rs 876, respectively.

Out of 2,791 stocks traded so far, 1,387 have advanced, 1,342 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
