Sensex down 76pts; Rama Newsprint, RCF zoom

The Sensex tumbled to a low of 11,819, and is now down 76 points at 11,839.

Satyam has rallied 2% to Rs 790.

Hindalco has dropped 2% to Rs 208. Bajaj Auto and NTPC have shed 1.7% each to Rs 2,878 and Rs 132, respectively.

Tata Power, Tata Steel, Grasim and ONGC are the other prominent losers among the Sensex stocks.

Rama Newsprint has hit the 20% upper limit at Rs 13.81. RCF has zoomed 12% to Rs 41.70. Mahindra Ugine, Raymond, Hinduja TMT, Uttam Sugar, Ashapura Minechem, Munjal Auto, Pratibha, Nocil, Bombay Dyeing and GMDC are the other significant gainers.
