The NSE Nifty is down 10 points at 5,102.
Cipla has plunged 3.5% to Rs 217. Maruti, Tata Steel and ICICI Bank have dropped around 2% each to Rs 723, Rs 788 and Rs 897, respectively.
Wipro, Infosys and Satyam have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 459, Rs 1,661 and Rs 438, respectively.
Tata Motors has declined 1.3% to Rs 631. Reliance and ACC are down 1% each at Rs 2,597 and Rs 776, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has surged 3% to Rs 253. Reliance Energy has gained 2.3% at Rs 1,390.
HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 1,523 and Rs 586, respectively.
ITC, DLF and HDFC ares up over 1% each at Rs 216, Rs 676 and Rs 2,721, respectively.
Out of 2,675 stocks traded so far, 1,372 have advanced, 1,227 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
