Sensex down 78pts; Bajaj up 2%

The Sensex is now down 78 points at 12,659.

ITC has dropped 2% to Rs 185. Satyam and Infosys have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 424 and Rs 2,045, respectively.

Hindalco and TCS have shed 1.3% each to Rs 185 and Rs 1,079, respectively.

HLL, Wipro, Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have moved up 1% each to Rs 230, Rs 549, Rs 715 and Rs 1,434, respectively.

Cipla and ONGC are the other major losers.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 1.7% to Rs 2,810.
