Sensex down 79pts; TCS, Rel Comm shine

The Sensex is now down 79 points at 13,830.

TCS and Reliance Communications have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 1,265 and Rs 471, respectively. Infosys has gained over 2% at Rs 2,051.

Tata Steel and ACC have moved up 1.8% each to Rs 547 and Rs 836, respectively.

Hero Honda, Grasim, Satyam, Maruti and HDFC Bank are up over 1% each at Rs 678, Rs 2,453, Rs 473, Rs 804 and Rs 1,028, respectively.

ICICI Bank has plunged 7.7% to Rs 862. HLL has slumped 4.7% to Rs 200.

Cipla, Bharti Airtel and HDFC have tumbled around 2% each to Rs 212, Rs 809 and Rs 1,653. ONGC is down 1.4% at Rs 916.

Out of 2,489 stocks traded so far, 1,340 have advanced, 1,069 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
