Sensex down 7pts; HDFC Bank advances 2%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zoe and is now down seven points at 14,293.

HDFC Bank has rallied 2% to Rs 1,058. ACC has gained 1.8% at Rs 905, and TCS has added 1.5% to Rs 1,268.

Hero Honda has gained 1.4% at Rs 688. ITC and Reliance Energy are up over 1% each at Rs 167 and Rs 515, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has plunged 8.7% to Rs 2,284. Tata Steel has shed 1.7% to Rs 587, and HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,685.

Hindalco, Reliance Communications, HLL and SBI are down around 1% each at Rs 147, Rs 494, Rs 193 and Rs 1,316, respectively.

Out of 2,274 stocks traded so far, 1,137 have declined, 1,060 have advanced and 77 are unchanged.
