Sensex down 7pts; ITC zooms 8%

The Sensex is now down seven points at 19,778.

ITC has zoomed 7.5% to Rs 204. Grasim has soared 5.5% to Rs 3,820.

Dr.Reddy's has surged 3.4% to Rs 620. Mahindra & Mahindra has advanced 1.7% to Rs 732, and Bharti Airtel has added 1.4% to Rs 913.

SBI is up 1.3% at Rs 2,338.

Hindalco has plunged 3.7% to Rs 208. Ranbaxy and Larsen & Toubro have shed 2.3% each to Rs 414 and Rs 4,400, respectively.

Infosys has dropped 2% to Rs 1,620, and Tata Steel has slipped 1.8% to Rs 845.

ICICI Bank has declined 1.5% to Rs 1,230, and Reliance Communications has shed 1.3% at Rs 715.

Satyam and BHEL are down 1% each at Rs 424 and Rs 2,797, respectively.

Out of 2,839 stocks traded so far, 2,037 have advanced, 758 have declined and 44 are unchanged.
