Sensex down 7pts; Satyam rallies 2%

The Sensex is now down seven points at 14,528.

Satyam has rallied 2% to Rs 472. NTPC and Larsen & Toubro have surged 1.5% each to Rs 162 and Rs 1,974, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco are up over 1% each at Rs 517 and Rs 148, respectively.

Tata Motors has dropped over 2% to Rs 696, and HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,870.

HDFC Bank and ONGC are down 1% each at Rs 1,149 and Rs 884, respectively.

Out of 2,143 stocks traded so far, 1,223 have advanced, 849 have declined and 71 are unchanged.
