Sensex down 81pts; breadth turns -ve

The Sensex is now down 81 points at 15,523.

Satyam has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 422. TCS and Ranbaxy have shed 1.5% each to Rs 1,006 and Rs 408, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Reliance Communications, HDFC and Infosys are down over 1% each at Rs 821, Rs 184, Rs 538, Rs 2,195 and Rs 1,813, respectively.

Reliance Energy has surged 2.7% to Rs 907. Ambuja Cements is up 1% at Rs 146.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,727 stocks traded so far, 1,364 have declined, 1,293 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
