Sensex down 81pts; Guj Amb sheds 4%

The Sensex is now down 81 points at 14,571.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged nearly 4% to Rs 136. Satyam has shed 2.8% to Rs 472, and Reliance Communications has slipped 2.5% to Rs 477.

ACC has dropped 2% to Rs 1,045. Tata Steel and Reliance Energy have declined around 1.5% each to Rs 454 and Rs 557, respectively.

SBI, Infosys, Ranbaxy and TCS are down 1% each at Rs 1,192, Rs 2,344, Rs 417 and Rs 1,287, 954, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has advanced 2.8% to Rs 3,092. Tata Motors has moved up 1% to Rs 904.

Out of 2,571 stocks traded, 1,854 have declined, 662 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
