Sensex down 82pts; ICICI Bank sheds 3%

The Sensex is now down 82 points at 20,294.

Bharti Airtel has plunged over 5% to Rs 999.

ICICI Bank has dropped 2.8% to Rs 1,254. Maruti has shed 2% at Rs 1,053, and HDFC Bank has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,758.

Satyam, NTPC and Ambuja Cements have declined over 1% each to Rs 426, Rs 248 and Rs 148, respectively.

BHEL, ONGC and HDFC are also down over 1% each at Rs 2,617, Rs 1,241 and Rs 3,072, respectively.

ITC has zoomed over 4% to Rs 197.

Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have rallied around 3% each to Rs 212 and Rs 810, respectively.

Tata Steel has surged 1.8% to Rs 810, and Ranbaxy has gained 1.5% at Rs 414.

Bajaj Auto and Tata Motors have advanced over 1% each to Rs 2,810 and Rs 778, respectively.

DLF and Cipla are also up over 1% each at Rs 1,031 and Rs 202, respectively.

Out of 2,864 stocks traded so far, 2,026 have advanced, 804 have declined and 34 are unchanged.
