Sensex down 82pts; ONGC, Ranbaxy shine

The Sensex is now down 82 points at 10,212.

Reliance has shed 2.7% to Rs 1,003. Gujarat Ambuja, Reliance Communications, ACC, Tata Steel and Hindalco have dropped 2% each to Rs 102, Rs 243, Rs 804, Rs 483 and Rs 164, respectively.

ITC and BHEL have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 170 and Rs 1,825, respectively.

ONGC and Ranbaxy have surged over 2% each to Rs 1,052 and Rs 328, respectively. HDFC has added 1.5% to Rs 1,098.

Wipro, HLL and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 482, Rs 233 and Rs 689, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,111 stocks traded so far, 1,534 have declined, 512 have advanced and 65 are unchanged.
