Sensex down 84pts; ACC slumps 5%

The Sensex is now down 84 points at 14,125.

ACC has slumped 5% to Rs 1,060. Grasim has shed 2.8% to Rs 2,815, and Gujarat Ambuja has slipped 2.4% to Rs 143.

Dr.Reddy's has dropped 3.7% to Rs 780. SBI has declined 2.4% to Rs 1,195.

HDFC Bank has shed 1.4% to Rs 1,041. HLL, Maruti and ICICI Bank are down over 1% each to Rs 221, Rs 928 and Rs 967, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has advanced over 2% to Rs 691. Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications are up 1% each at Rs 408 and Rs 452, respectively.

Out of 2,521 stocks traded so far, 1,383 have declined, 1,082 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
