Sensex down 84pts; Tata Steel soars 6%

The Sensex is now down 84 points at 14,835.

Infosys has dropped 1.7% to Rs 1,850. Wipro, Bharti Airtel and HDFC have shed 1.6% each to Rs 460, Rs 861 and Rs 1,950, respectively.

NTPC and Reliance Communications have slipped 1.4% each to Rs 165 and Rs 513, respectively.

ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Grasim, Cipla, Ranbaxy and Mahindra & Mahindra are down over 1% each.

Tata Steel has soared over 6% to Rs 643.
