Sensex down 85pts; breadth negative

The Sensex is now down 85 points at 12,652.

ITC has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 185. Infosys, Satyam and TCS have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 2,044, Rs 424 and Rs 1,077, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 1.4% to Rs 185. Wipro, Ranbaxy, Cipla and HLL are down 1% each to Rs 549, Rs 411, Rs 260 and Rs 230, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has rallied over 2% to Rs 2,824.

The market breadth is negative - out of 1,909 stocks traded so far, 1181 have declined, 688 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
