ICICI Bank and Bajaj Auto have dropped 2% each to Rs 976 and Rs 2,524, respectively.
BHEL has shed 1.5% to Rs 1,980. NTPC, Reliance Communications, Mahindra & Mahindra and Ambuja Cements are down over 1% each.
Bharti Airtel has soared 2.3% to Rs 967. Hindalco has surged 2% to Rs 166.
Out of 2,698 stocks traded so far, 1,782 have declined, 858 have advanced and 58 are unchanged.
