Sensex down 86pts; ITC, HLL weak

The Sensex is now down 86 points at 12,188.

Satyam has shed 2.5% to Rs 838, and ICICI Bank has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 652.

HDFC Bank, ITC and HLL have declined 1.4% each to Rs 871, Rs 188 and Rs 255.

Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Reliance Energy, TCS and Larsen & Toubro are down over 1% each.

Grasim has surged 2.3% to Rs 2,528. Bajaj Auto and Gujarat Ambuja have advanced 1% each to Rs 2,926 and Rs 117, respectively.

ACC and Reliance are the other prominent gainers.

Out of 2,533 stocks traded so far, 1,631 have declined, 816 have advanced and 86 are unchanged.
