Sensex down 87pts; market breadth still +ve

The Sensex is now down 87 points at 10,843.

HLL and Grasim have advanced 1.6% each to Rs 241 and Rs 2,029, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.5% to Rs 374. Wipro, Hero Honda and Reliance have slipped 2% each to Rs 505, Rs 710 and Rs 1,078, respectively.

HDFC Bank, BHEL, Tata Motors, Satyam, HDFC and Maruti are down over 1.5% each at Rs 752, Rs 1,954, Rs 759, Rs 739, Rs 1,185 and Rs 802, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, TCS and NTPC are down over 1% each at Rs 2,710, Rs 1,869 and Rs 117, respectively.

The market breadth is still positive - out of 2,212 stocks traded so far, 1,137 have advanced, 990 have declined and 85 are unchanged.
