Sensex down 88pts; Rel Comm soars 4%

The Sensex is now down 88 points at 13,821.

Reliance Communications has soared 4% to Rs 479. TCS has surged 2.7% to Rs 1,268, and Infosys has gained 2.2% to Rs 2,052.

Hero Honda and Satyam have rallied 1.8% each to Rs 680 and Rs 475, respectively.

Tata Steel and ACC are up 1.3% each at Rs 545 and Rs 833, respectively.

ICICI Bank has plunged nearly 8% to Rs 860. HLL has slumped 4.8% to Rs 199.

HDFC has tumbled 2.5% to Rs 1,645. Bharti Airtel and ONGC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 808 and Rs 909, respectively.

Cipla has shed 1.8% to Rs 213.

Out of 2,433 stocks traded so far, 1,246 have advanced, 1,114 have declined and 73 are unchanged.
