Sensex down 89pts; Hindalco slips 2%

The Sensex is now down 89 points at 12,649.

Hindalco has dropped 2% to Rs 184. ITC and Satyam have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 185 and Rs 423, respectively.

TCS, Ranbaxy and Infosys have declined 1.5% each to Rs 1,076, Rs 409 and Rs 2,044, respectively.

HLL, Wipro, Cipla and SBI are down over 1% each to Rs 229, Rs 548, Rs 260 and Rs 1,030, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has gained 1.5% at Rs 2,801.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,021 stocks traded so far, 1,231 have declined, 756 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
