Sensex down 89pts; Satyam spurts 2%

The Sensex is now down 89 points at 10,187.

Ranbaxy has soared over 4% to Rs 386. Satyam has surged 2% to Rs 699.

HDFC Bank has added 1.4% to Rs 741.

Larsen & Toubro has dropped 3.5% to Rs 2,120. HDFC has shed 3.3% to Rs 1,084.

BHEL has slipped 2.7% to Rs 1,820. Tata Motors, SBI, Maruti and Hero Honda are down over 2% each at Rs 763, Rs 756, Rs 759 and Rs 754, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,353 stocks traded so far, 1,305 have declined, 993 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
