Sensex down 8pts; Bajaj, TCS slip

The Sensex is now down eight at 12,229.

Dr.Reddy's, Bajaj Auto and TCS have slipped 1% each to Rs 741, Rs 2,890 and Rs 1,033, respectively.

ITC, HLL and Hindalco are the other notable losers.

Tata Motors has gained 1.5% at Rs 848. Reliance has spurted over 1% to Rs 1,168. Bharti Airtel is up 0.7% at Rs 473.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,123 stocks traded so far, 1,113 have declined, 946 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
