Sensex down 90pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 90 points at 17,757.

HDFC and ONGC has plunged around 4% each to Rs 2,488 and Rs 985, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 3% to Rs 1,056. Wipro has slipped 2% to Rs 461.

ITC and Grasim have dropped 1.8% each to Rs 184 and Rs 3,585, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank and Hindalco are down around 1.5% each at Rs 759, Rs 1,401 and Rs 177, respectively.

NTPC has soared over 3% to Rs 224. Tata Steel has surged 2.5% to Rs 861.

Reliance Energy and Bajaj Auto have rallied 2% each to Rs 1,478 and Rs 2,590, respectively.

Maruti has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,037. Cipla has gained 1.5% at Rs 188.

Hindustan Unilever, BHEL, Ranbaxy and Tata Motors are up around 1% each at Rs 223, Rs 2,098, Rs 443 and Rs 797, respectively.

Out of 2,795 stocks traded so far, 1,642 have declined, 1,096 have advanced and 57 are unchanged.
