Sensex down 90pts; Guj Ambuja drops 6%

The Sensex is now down 90 points at 12,607.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged 6.15% to Rs 107, and ACC has crashed 4.38% to Rs 817.

Wipro has tumbled nearly 5% to Rs 553. TCS has shed 2.5% to Rs 1,168, and Infosys has dropped 2% to Rs 2,075.

Tata Steel and Satyam have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 412 and Rs 427, respectively. ITC, Maruti and HDFC Bank are down over 1% each.

Cipla has gained 1.8% at Rs 226. Reliance Communications and Larsen & Toubro have surged 1.5% each to Rs 407 and Rs 1,449, respectively.

Out of 2,351 stocks traded so far, 1,593 have declined, 694 have advanced and 64 are unchanged.
