Sensex down 90pts; ITC zooms 8%

The Sensex is now down 90 points at 15,705.

Ambuja Cements has slumped 4.8% to Rs 128. ACC has plunged 3.4% to Rs 1,070, and Grasim has shed 1.9% to Rs 2,965.

Satyam has dropped 3.5% to Rs 500. Bajaj Auto has slipped 3% to Rs 2,375.

Larsen & Toubro and BHEL has declined over 2% each to Rs 2,606 and Rs 1,797, respectively.

Tata Motors is down nearly 1% at Rs 733. HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra are down around 1.5% each at Rs 1,232 and Rs 786, respectively.

ITC has zoomed 8% to Rs 164. NTPC has soared 3% to Rs 168.

Infosys and Reliance Energy has surged 1.5% each to Rs 2,007 and Rs 787, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever and ONGC are up 1% each at Rs 202 and Rs 924, respectively.

Out of 2,300 stocks traded so far, 1,473 have declined, 765 have advanced and 62 are unchanged.
